Hear at Home is a home training program for older teenagers or adults with a hearing loss. It aims to meet the needs of people with a hearing implant who would like auditory training and support but do not have access to trained personnel. These exercises are designed for at home use with family or friends who act as the talker/exercise partner. The exercises can be adapted according to the abilities and skills of each recipient. This resource can also be used in clinics as an auditory training program.
Hear at Home provides the talker with detailed instructions on how to present the material. There are 10 separate sessions that get progressively more difficult. The exercises introduce a series of speech sounds in words and sentences. Additional exercises for practice of connected speech recognition are also provided.
Purchase includes Talker’s & Receiver’s handbook.
