The COT: Common Objects Token Test is a sentence-level test for children with hearing loss that measures speech perception and auditory memory skills. The test is a closed-set task (of higher complexity than most) that aims to assess a child at the transition between basic closed-set tasks and open-set tasks. It is suitable for children with cochlear implants as young as three years of age. This measure is also included in the EARS: Evaluation Auditory Responses to Speech (Kit).
