The Auditory Skills Checklist is a criterion–referenced assessment that assists teachers, therapists, audiologists, and caregivers in tracking the progress of a child’s auditory development. Designed for use with children of any age and skill level, this resource is quick and easy to use. It includes scoring to monitor a child’s progress on a variety of auditory skills over time and may be helpful to support goal setting and further planning of therapy sessions. The checklist is comprised of 27 items ordered in such a way to follow developmental acquisition of auditory skills. Behaviors assessed range from the most basic skill of detection through to advanced auditory comprehension tasks (e.g., auditory memory, auditory processing).
